The Loner Pack, a known sanctuary for all races and people of The Veil, exists primarily in The Veil, though they also have some encampments in The Mortal World.
Though they are known to be a good place for Nomads and travellers, they strangely allow only their 5 leaders to live there permanently, sending all who stay with them away after 6 months. For this, they are a well-known mystery.
The Loner Pack, though mysterious, is a popular place to visit for the richer people of The Veil, because of the great golden 5-Sided Pyramid Temple that forms the center of their camp. All who decide to visit, stay, or enter The Loner Pack must enter with one of the 5 leaders, and undergo a ritual which decides the group that they will stay with. This is a very important ritual because they can only be placed in 1 group, and based on this, they will be placed under the control of 1 leader, and live in 1 of the villages. This ritual is conducted by having the person touch a golden Lion statue, and it's eyes turn one of 5 colors, Green for the first group, Life, Black for the second group, Darkness, Purple for the third group, Air, Orange for the fourth group, Fire, and Blue for the fifth group, Water. Out of these 5 groups, each person who holds the qualities closest to those valued by the leader of the group is sorted there, and they stay in that town under that leader's rule, until their time runs out, or they choose to leave.
The Leaders of the 5 groups are immortal, and each holds a golden object, which has amazing powers. For the First Group, Life, the leader holds a Golden Staff, which can return life to anything, no matter how long dead it may be. The leader of the Second Group, Darkness, holds a Golden ball, which, when opened, can bend the will or alter the mind of any one person at a time. The Leader of the Third Group, Air, holds a Golden bow, which can create fine arrows out of nothing, and can shoot as far as the owner wants. The leader of the Fourth Group, Fire, holds a Golden Sword, which can burn any flammable material within sight range. The leader of the Fifth Group, Water, holds a Golden urn, which can create medicine that can heal anything, no matter how severe.
The Leaders are said to conduct the Ritual of placement in a search to find the legendary 'Golden Warrior', who will make the Eyes of the Golden Lion turn Gold, rather than one of the groups. However, this person has never been found, despite their efforts.
