Claiming Guide

This guide will walk you through the parts you need to know about being claimed.
Groups & Affiliations-
Your character will need an affiliation in order to have a place and purpose in The Veil. They will most likely belong to one of the following groups, but they could also belong to a group of your own, which you can make in the Other Groups board in the forums.
Most popular groups:

• Camp Half Blood (Demigods and Nymphs Only)
• The Dark Legion (All Races)
• Haven (Beast-People dominantly, All Races)
• The Amazons (All Races-Female only)
• Novatin (Elves Only)
• The Zodiacs (Zodiac Shapeshifters only)
• The Loner Pack (All Races)

Species-
There are also several Species to choose from in the Greek world. However, certain species will not be welcome in certain groups, so make sure your affiliation and species are compatible!

• Demigod (Child of a God and Non-god. Most commonly born to Gods and Humans, Gods and Elves, or Gods and Beast-People. They carry the traits and powers of their mortal parents, and the powers of their godly parents. They're weakened versions of gods, and have prolonged lifespans than their mortal parents)
• Elf (A creature with sharp, pointed teeth, pointed ears, long lifespan, and a high affinity for magic. Have absurdly long lifespans, and were believed to all be dead until recently.)
• Demimonster (Born to a Monster and Human. Usually can shapeshift between human and monster forms.)
• Monster (Pure blooded monster. Usually born to another monster, or to one or two gods. They rarely take a human appearance, and never truly die.)
• Nymph (A life form tied to an object or plant such as a rock or tree or water. There are several types. Usually female, though males exist.)
• Satyr/faun (Half human and half goat. Can be classified as a type of monster. Have strong senses, and can perform nature magic)
• Zodiac Shapeshifter (A powerful type of Shapeshifter, usually born to normal mortals. They have the ability to shapeshift to the Zodiac animal of the year they're born in.)
• Beast-Person (Looks like an Elf, except has some traits of an animal. If one, for example, takes after a dog, they may have dog ears and legs, but the rest of their body may look Elven.)

Gender: Male/Female (Required)
Alliance: The group your character belongs to goes here. (Required)
Race/Type: Your character's race, and type. For example, a Zodiac Shapeshifter Snake, or a Demigod child of Mnemosyne (Required)
Personality: Describe your character's personality in a few sentences. (Not required but recommended)
Appearance: Describe what your character looks like. (Required without picture. Not required with picture)
History: Describe your character's past here. (Required)
Picture: Post a picture of your character (Not required with Appearance. Required without Appearance)
