Whether challenging your cabin leader for leadership, or challenging an entire rival cabin, this is the information you need!
Leadership Challenges:
Leadership challenges are very harsh, and are no small deal. More often than not, someone ends up dead, so you need to be willing not to hold back in the case of a leadership challenge. Leadership Challenges are public events, and are played out in actual Greek Arenas. Usually, large crowds gather to watch these events.
Say a camper thinks he'd be a better Camp Leader than one of the current ones. He decides to challenge her, so that he can become camp leader instead. A new thread is created, titled "Challenge for [Alliance Name]'s Leadership-[Rank Name]" or, in this case, "Challenge for Camp Half-Blood Leadership-Camp Leader' If it is not titled this, it will not be counted as a formal challenge, instead as a practice match, so no effect will be take upon it finishing, unless it ends in forfeit! Anyway, after your thread is created, the Camp Leader, in this case, Lea Brown, comes to the arena, and replies. This first post will begin the battle. If the person you're challenging doesn't reply within 7 days, the leadership goes to the challenger automatically. If they do reply, you fight the battle for as long as you need (at least one admin will keep up with the challenge). Once you're finished, two admins will judge the challenge, and whoever roleplayed it better gets victory.
If the Admins disagree with each other, or cannot decide on a winner, a number cube will be rolled, with even numbers representing the Current leader, and the odd representing the challenger. If the match ends with a Forfeit or death, the surviving party will be given leadership.
If the current leader keeps their position, They keep the miniprofile for their character. If the challenger wins, however, the former leader's miniprofile(alter) is deleted, and the new leader gets one made just for the character!
Cabin Challenges: (Camp Half-Blood/Zodiacs Only)
To challenge a cabin is a big thing! It's not something that will be ignored by your fellow campers, so don't do it lightly! Make sure you have a reason!
Say a daughter of Hermes and a son of Aphrodite have a dispute over something. Well, that Son of Aphrodite is angry over it, and he's insulted, and he feels like the Hermes girl needs to pay. So the next day, he goes to the Hermes cabin, and issues a challenge against the cabins. When that's done, a few children of Hermes and a few from Aphrodite will meet in the challenging arena on a given date. None of those who fight will have any contact with the other cabin until the battle is over and the conflict resolved.
Now's the time that we decide what kind of match this will be. There's three types of matches-
Game Match (Combines Strategy and Fighting)
Strategy Match (Best Strategy wins; Cleverness or intelligence generally gets the prize)
Fighting Match (Winner of a fight wins; this uses more strength or skill than strategy)
With all kinds, all the members of the teams will go against the other cabin. Since in this case, Aphrodite's cabin issued the challenge, the Hermes cabin chooses the type of match. Since Hermes is a clever cabin, let's say they choose the Strategy Match. In this match, they are taken to The Forest, and each cabin sets up a line of guards. The problem? They're only allowed 4 guards to cover their entire territory. Whichever side manages to keep the others out longer wins the match, and the quarrel is over, all hard feelings must be resolved with one's self.
Now let's say that, in another match, A child of Hecate wants a good fight, so they decide to challenge the Ares Cabin to get one. The Ares Cabin chooses the Fighting Match, so each Cabin is put on one side of the arena, and are put into a battle line. They're all allowed one weapon of choice, and a shield, if they want one. The match, unlike a real one, is a fair match. Two people at a time go out to fight from each team, and they fight until one forfeits, one gets a serious injury, or one passes out. This will continue until there are no longer any campers left who haven't fought. Whichever cabin has the most people standing in the end wins.
Finally, for our last outcome, A child of Hades gets angry at A child of Zeus. The Hades child issues a challenge, and the cabins meet for their match. Since they're powerful Big Three children, The Zeus Cabin chooses a Game Match, where the Hades Cabin is given the choice of what kind of game to play; Capture the Flag or Chariot Races. Say The Hades Cabin chooses chariot races, since they are few in numbers. Two people from each team would get into a standard chariot and race as it happens normally, except there are only two cabins. If they were to choose Capture the Flag, they'd fight as normal, except it'd a a reduced amount of space in the forest.
In all circumstances, the Admins would choose which cabin won before it ended, so that it was fair. There would need to be at least two who agreed that a certain cabin should win. Admins playing in the match are not allowed to decide, unless there are less than two not playing in the match, in which case, a die would be rolled, and whichever number it rolls on wins, even numbers for the current leader, and odd numbers for the challenger.
Good Luck!
