Hello, all! Today i'll be telling you how to create your very own group!
Sub-Groups-
Sub-groups are groups that are within others, such as the Mortal Protection Program in Camp Half Blood. They're all campers, but they fight to protect mortals elsewhere. If you were to make a Sub-Group, they'd need a purpose. It could be anything from collecting marshmallows to saving harmless monsters to starting an uprising to doing as many dangerous acts as possible without dying. Keep your mind open!
In order for a Sub-Group to thrive, there's some things it would need. I, personally, would begin with it's purpose. For what reason are you making this group? When you've got that down, I suggest thinking about how it will work. Will it be a branch system? How many Leaders? Which groups will be allowed to join it's ranks? It is for humans or some other creature? Is there an initiation ceremony? How will it strive to achieve it's purpose? What kind of person would you want in this group? You need to make a new topic in the board in order to start!
When you've answered those questions, get creative! Make your group to just how you would want it! If you do that, it may just become a major Sub-Group, with a Sub-Board of it's own in this section!
Separate Groups-
Separate Groups are MUCH more complicated. If you're looking for something simple, look back at the Sub-Groups, they'll be a lot easier to understand and make.
Some examples of Separate Groups are The Dark Legion, The Demititan Camp, and Drakon Clans. They have a purpose of some sort, just like every other Major Group. The Dark Legion's is to challenge the gods and achieve true immortality, though it's members could vary. Some want no more than revenge. Some look only to seek somewhere to go. Whatever the case, their purpose stays the same. Of course, that can vary with different groups. Drakon Clans were created for no other reason than the fact that I thought it would be cool to be able to roleplay Dragons, since Dragons are some of my favorite creatures. In order to create a group that may one day become a Major one, you'll need to figure out your purpose. You could make a group for anything, really. It could be related to any mythology. For example, someone could make a group based on Egyptian Mythology, that was a military for children of the gods. Someone could make a group of Roman legacies that's purpose was to challenge that certain Egyptian military. You could make militaries, tribes, clans, villages, and any other type of group you wanted.
Once you've decided what kind of group you want, you'll need to decide what kind of ranks and jobs you want. On your topic, you should list all of those, and a description of your group and their motives.
Next, you'll need to create your character. Most of you will obviously take the leaders, which is great, lead away. You need to make a character page if you plan to roleplay it outside of your topic.
When you've done all of the above, we begin to reach the end. You now need to name your group. It can be long or simple, whatever suits you best. Try not to declare war on and Major groups unless you lead a Major group with it's own board.
I'll leave you to do the rest yourself from here. Good luck! Post any questions below.
